Lagos Weather

The weather in Lagos is always warm and often cloudy. Lagos weather is a “tropical climate”.

The weather follows two main seasons – a dry season and a wet season. You will know what to expect from the weather in Lagos. It is quite stable with temparatures between 28-32 degree celsius during the day and 22-24 degree celsius during night. It is quite humid, but being on the coast provides a little breeze. The sun does not shine very often in Lagos compared to e.g. Abuja, so it is mostly cloudy weather.

The rainy season starts already in March in Lagos and ends in October.

Abuja Weather

The weather in Abuja is always warm and most of the time the sun shines bright. The temperature varies from 26 degree celsius to 40 degree celsius. Abuja weather is a “Tropical wet and dry climate”.

In Abuja the weather also has a dry and a wet season, but even in the dry season you will find plenty of green areas, as the soil is very fertile in Abuja.

In Abuja the rainy season starts a little later compared to Lagos approx. in the beginning of April and ends in the end of October/beginning of November. During these months the climate is quite humid and the temperature will drop to 26-30 degree celsius. It get’s “cold” at night time with temperatures down to around 20 degrees celsius – but can also be chilly and get as low as 14 degrees. After a chilly night the day temperature will normally hits around 30 degrees.
